Backyard Blossoms

A little about us and how Backyard Blossoms started...

 

Hi!  My name is Krista (I love Jesus, my fam, coffee, wine, good chats with friends, country drives, CrossFit (except Thrusters and the bike), dates with my husband  and...FLOWERS) and in 2020, I decided to take my love for flowers and a God-inspired idea and turn it into a hobby to see where it would take us.  We turned a part of our property into a small (very, only 6 4ft by 30ft rows) flower field to have available for a you-pick experience.  People seemed to love the idea and the flowers, so for the 2022 season, we expanded and added a few more flower varieties.  People loved the bouquet drops where pre-made specialty cut flower bouquets were available for them to pick-up. 

 

For the 2023 seasoned, we added raised beds to allow for more flowers (and promised veggies for my husband).  We also spent the end of 2022 and beginning of 2023 converting a 1975 horse trailer into a mobile flower bar - which is also available for rent-!  My son named her "Daisy". 

 

As time consuming and overwhelming and weather dependent this adventure is (no greenhouse here...{yet?}), I love it and have hopes of continuing to expand, but currently we are in the season of raising 5 kiddos who all love to be involved in sports (totally a slave to sports schedules!)  We also homeschool and run a CrossFit gym full-time.  So, God-willing, I hope to grow on a larger-scale one day...but right now, Backyard Blossoms will remain a quaint, backyard, you-pick flower garden!  As schedule allows, you will see us poppin up at local events, and posting bouquet drops via Instagram and Facebook that are available for pick-up at our garden shed.  To decrease the time spent on all the social media outlets, Instagram is the best way to get ahold of us with any questions or to make an appointment to come and pick your own flowers!
